Cheeca Lodge & Spa
Islamorada, Florida
Located on 27 oceanfront acres in the Florida Keys, Cheeca Lodge is truly paradise on earth, complete with a 9-hole golf course, on-site spa, and 525-foot fishing pier. When their original boat dock was damaged by Hurricane Irma in 2017, they reached out for help outfitting their 525' replacement dock built the following year (the longest dock in the Keys).
Our work began as soon as the wood pilings and deck were installed. We designed a stunning light setup for the new structure, laying out wiring to power dozens of Underwater Lights, almost 100 Pagoda Piling Lights, and hundreds more Pathway Lights. The end result was nothing short of breathtaking. Our piling and pathway lights provided an elevated aesthetic with stately look and warm glow. While the underwater fixtures around the perimeter attract both sea life and resort guests all through the night.
Oil Nut Bay
British Virgin Islands
Out on the eastern tip of picturesque Virgin Gorda sits Oil Nut Bay, a luxury private island getaway where white sand beaches meet bright blue tides. This resort is the definition of world class, with incredible architecture and landscaping spread throughout 400 pristine acres.
We were honored when they contacted us about making custom Pathway Lights for their waterfront. Our team got to work, designing one-of-a-kind pieces that incorporated the resort’s logo on them. In all, we ended up delivering 300 fixtures, each complete with durable, bright blue LEDs. It is one of our proudest accomplishments knowing these unique statement pieces now adorn Oil Nut Bay’s gorgeous grounds, offering the perfect blend of functional lighting and subtle elegance.
London Bridge Resort
Lake Havasu, Arizona
Our latest project (still in progress). London Bridge Resort is a stylish waterfront escape, centrally located on Bridgewater Channel in Lake Havasu. This place is the ultimate destination for work, play, or just relaxing, with full-service accommodations and a huge list of activities to enjoy.
They’ve engaged our services to help step-up their on-site marina, which offers boat and equipment rental for everything from canoeing to jet skiing. So far, the team at Apex has delivered 15 custom-built Aluminum Square Post Pagoda fixtures, one of our top-sellers among both residential and commercial dock owners. Made in-house here in Florida, these marine-grade aluminum pilings come in a wide range of attractive finishes, each with a 5000K LED Light bulb pre-installed. We can’t wait to see how they look installed at the resort!

Pier Sixty-Six
Fort Lauderdale, Florida
Everyone in and around Fort Lauderdale knows the iconic Pier Sixty-Six Marina and Hotel. For over 60 years, this legendary waterfront oasis has offered both guests and locals an unparalleled harbor experience, with luxury dining, beautiful rooms, and panoramic views of downtown. Not to mention, 5,000 linear feet of dockage (including 164 slips), welcoming vessels of all shapes and sizes.
We were thrilled to work with them in 2020 to install underwater lights on their north side docks. After that successful project, Pier Sixty-Six reached out about collaborating with their dock builder on lights for the southern floating docks. So in 2021, we helped outfit these deck areas with top-of-the-line Scallop Pathway Lights and Mantis Underwater LEDs, from industry leader Lumitec. This was our largest project to date, requiring a huge number of fixtures and detailed planning on our part. But the final results exceeded the client’s expectations, creating an incredible atmosphere that instantly transformed the docks (installed and implemented without any issues).
Albany Resort
New Providence, Bahamas
Talk about a place you never want to leave! Albany is a 600-acre oceanside resort community on the island of New Providence in The Bahamas. This exclusive gated hideaway has it all: from private beaches to luxury spas, to a championship golf course. But the true crown jewel is its mega-yacht marina, one of the largest berthing facilities in the Caribbean. Albany Marina features 71 slips that can accommodate boats up to 250 feet in length!
To help illuminate their massive docks, we provided the resort with Underwater Dock Lights. These added some amazing ambiance to the area, as well as increased visibility when maneuvering in and out at night. But what had an even bigger impact was the over 500 TritonLED Waterproof Strips we delivered. One of our favorite ways to create a unique and inviting waterfront display. They worked perfectly to fill this immense dock setup with fun color and bright, functional lighting.
Stock Island Yacht Club & Marina
Key West, Florida
Situated on the Atlantic shoreline, Stock Island Yacht Club is a scenic gathering place, event space, and ship store. Along with their exclusive marina, they offer all sorts of aquatic fun, including scuba diving, ecotourism adventures, and world-renowned sport fishing. More than living up to their title of an “ultimate maritime retreat.”
Apex was tapped to help overhaul the marina’s path lighting—definitely no small task given the size and upscale nature of the client. We determined the best product for their needs would be AquaLuma’s incredibly versatile and durable stainless steel LED Pathway Lights. To fully illuminate everywhere with regular foot traffic, we supplied roughly 170 fixtures to the electrical company in Key West that then handled installation. The project, as you can see, came out beautifully, increasing safety and ambiance throughout this iconic marina space.
Safe Harbor Lauderdale Marine Center
Fort Lauderdale, Florida
The largest yacht building and repair facility in the country, Lauderdale Marine Center is the preferred yard of choice for some of the most prestigious builders around. Its 65-acre facility is home to both wet and transient slips, a host of marine services, and beautiful waterfront dining. A destination equally aimed at those looking for meticulous boat repairs, thrilling watersports, or pure leisure.
Back in 2018-2019, we provided the Marine Center with a massive delivery of solar pathway lights to place around their dock areas. In all, the project encompassed a whopping 2000 fixtures, making it one of our largest orders to date (at the time). Once installed, these LEDs made the grounds truly shine, giving the space ample glow and a uniform look across all high traffic walkways.

Shooters Waterfront
Fort Lauderdale, Florida
A true Florida icon, Shooters Waterfront has been serving great food in Fort Lauderdale since 1982. From fresh seafood to weekend brunch, this dockside favorite offers a little bit of everything, including fun seasonal events, live music, and even yoga. But many say the key to their success is the relaxed, welcoming environment, with gorgeous views of the water no matter where you sit.
When Shooters was looking to upgrade their outside lighting to accommodate new tables along the water, they came to Apex for our expert services. We worked hand-in-hand with their designer to find the right fixtures for the space, something that would provide ample illumination yet blend seamlessly with their existing aesthetic. In the end, we landed on the perfect solar dock lights to fit their new seating layout, providing optimal lighting while keeping with the stylish atmosphere.
Waterway Cafe
Palm Beach Gardens, Florida
This local landmark and tourist destination is known for fresh fish, waterfront views, and Florida's only floating bar! After months of planning and permitting, it’s currently undergoing some much needed renovation, closing for construction in late 2023. One of the projects in progress is an expansion of their 300-foot dock space, which we’ve been brought in to help with.
Our team originally worked with Waterfront Cafe to design and install a complete light system for their landing. We mounted Lumitec Mantis Underwater LEDs and Scallop Pathway Fixtures throughout their deck, then ran everything through a Kraken Control Center for easy, all-in-one power and management. Happy to report, everyone was incredibly pleased with the results! As renovations continue, we look forward to assisting the cafe with more high-quality lighting to upgrade the space.
Blu on the Water
East Greenwich, Rhode Island
Nestled in a bustling marina, Blu on the Water is a special place to enjoy local seafood and hand-crafted cocktails, all on Rhode Island's largest waterfront deck. It's become a fixture of historic East Greenwich, even offering outdoor fire pits and local live music throughout the summer. The marina itself is a 23-slip facility that allows customers to dock and dine for the ultimate convenience.
Blu’s owner came to us looking to replace the old light fixtures mounted on posts throughout the dock area. We provided them with over 50 Pagoda lights, which not only enhanced visibility at night, but added a stylish appearance during daylight hours. Condos
Delhaven Condominium
Delray Beach, Florida
Built in 1970, Delhaven Condominium is a luxury waterfront development, just steps from the stunning white sands of Delray Beach. One of the area's oldest legacy condos, this complex comes with its own unique aesthetic, a blend of historic beachside charm and modern comfort. And their landscaping is a particular point of pride, offering a truly special environment for members to relax by the ocean.
Apex was hired by the condo association to outfit their waterline with the latest in above and below deck illumination. We installed Lumitec Nautilus lights on pilings along the water, as well as Lumitec Scallop lights mounted on the walkway near the edge of the dock. Then to really elevate the space, we added 12 Lumitec Kraken Underwater Lights highlighting the seawall. These, as well as the LEDs on the top of the boat dock, were all hooked up to the Lumitec Kraken Controller, giving the capability to control everything via a SmartPhone App.
